WEC exec: WEC 44′s Castillo vs. Roller, Gamburyan vs. Garcia will have “title implications”

With the UFC and WEC combining to host three cards in an eight-day
stretch of November, it’s easy to lose track of some of the impending matchups.

But while many MMA fans are anxiously awaiting WEC 44′s main event
between featherweight champion Mike Brown (22-4 MMA, 4-0 WEC) and
explosive challenger Jose Aldo (15-1 MMA, 5-0 WEC) on Nov. 18 in Las
Vegas, WEC general manager Reed Harris warned viewers not to overlook
the importance of another pair of matchups on the card.

On today’s media call promoting the Versus-broadcast event, Harris said
two future title challengers may also be determined at the event.
