UFC’s Versus debut official; Jon Jones vs. Brandon Vera confirmed for UFC Fight Night 21

A light heavyweight fight between Jon Jones (9-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) and
Brandon Vera (11-4, 7-4 UFC), heavily rumored in recent weeks, is now
official for UFC Fight Night 21 on March 21 in Broomfield, Colo.

The intriguing match-up, which was first reported
in December as the headliner of the UFC’s first live card on Versus,
was announced during the broadcast of Sunday night’s “WEC 46: Varner
vs. Henderson” event.

UFC Fight Night 21, which takes at The Odeum Colorado (formerly known
as the Broomfield Events Center) is the UFC’s second trip to the Denver
area since Zuffa, LLC purchased the fight promotion in 2001.
