UFC announces counter-programming plans; six bouts from UFC 100 to air opposite Strikeforce

The UFC’s recent strategy of counter-programming its competitors will continue, as Spike TV today announced some of UFC 100’s “most exciting bouts” will air during Showtime’s Saturday night broadcast of “Carano vs. Cyborg.”

Featuring six bouts from  July’s UFC 100 event, Spike TV’s broadcast is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET/PT on Saturday night.

Strikeforce’s “Carano vs. Cyborg” event, which takes place Saturday night at HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., airs at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.
