The Sunday Junkie: Sept. 6 edition
By MMAEdition on Sep 06, 2009 with Comments 0
With the sport’s major organizations taking a break over this Labor Day
weekend, The Sunday Junkie, our weekly reader-feedback feature, took a
look at a variety of topics in the sport.
And while potential bouts between Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo
Nogueira as well as Dan Henderson and Nate Marquardt were discussed, so
was a bout that might not happen at its originally scheduled time because of a Hollywood
intervention.
This week’s winning entry came from Manbir Atwal, who argued that
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s apparent attempt to postpone his December
bout with Rashad Evans in order to star in “The A-Team” is another
example of a disturbing trend in MMA.
