Spike TV to Air WEC 48 Prelims

As World Extreme Cagefighting prepares for its first pay-per-view show, it’s looking more and more like a UFC pay-per-view each day.

The latest example comes from the news, broken by UFC President Dana White on Twitter, that WEC 48 preliminary bouts will air live on Spike an hour before the pay-per-view starts, just as they often do prior to UFC pay-per-views. That will mark the first time that WEC fights have aired on Spike, and another major sign that Zuffa (parent company of both the WEC and UFC) wants to make sure every UFC fan is aware of the WEC’s first pay-per-view.
