MMAjunkie.com Fight Biz: Return in the works for Palace Fighting Championship
After being a mainstay on the Central California MMA scene for more
than two years, Palace Fighting Championship appeared to join the
growing legion of failed promotions this year.
PFC, which held events at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore
since January 2007, went dark after its May 8 show, pulled the plug on
its Web site and appeared to have shut it down after a successful
19-show run. However, in our latest installment of MMAjunkie.com Fight Biz, Steve Sievert discusses PFC founder and owner Christian Printup’s plans for a restructured promotion.
Sievert also talks to the unofficial matriarch of women’s mixed martial arts, Debi Purcell, about the future of the sport. And Sievert also talks to a WAMMA executive about rumors of the organization’s demise.
