Martin Kampmann vs. replacement Jacob Volkmann “is on” for UFC 108

A welterweight bout between Martin Kampmann (15-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) and Jacob Volkmann (9-1 MMA 0-1 UFC), who is a late replacement for injured Rory Markham (16-5 MMA, 1-1 UFC), “is on” for UFC 108, a source close to one of the fighters today told MMAjunkie.com.

The preliminary-card matchup was first reported as a possibility by Sherdog.

UFC 108 takes place Jan. 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and features a headliner of Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva.
