Less than one month before he was scheduled to make his return to the
UFC after a three-year absence, lightweight Dan Lauzon (12-2 MMA, 0-1
UFC) has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 103 bout with Rafaello
Oliveira (9-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) after suffering a back injury in training.
Lauzon confirmed the injury on his Twitter account, though the UFC has yet to make an official announcement.
“I’m injured and out of my UFC 103 fight,” Lauzon stated. “Not happy about it. It happens in this sport.”
