KANSAS CITY, Kan. – After suffering through a relocation of the event, the loss of an
original main-event competitor and what seemed like a never-ending
number of fight card changes, “M-1: Breakthrough” delivered a solid
night of mixed martial arts action. However the night was so not kind
to two-time UFC tournament winner Mark Kerr, who was knocked cold by
fast-rising prospect Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal in only 25 seconds.
The bout closed out a full night of action featuring 12 bouts from Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan.
The card, which also featured an exhibition sparring match between
famed heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and Strikeforce light heavyweight
champion Gegard Mousasi, aired live on HDNet.
