Headliners Lawal and Kerr make weight for today’s “M-1: Breakthrough” event

A total of 24 competitors, including headliners Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal and Mark Kerr, weighed in on Thursday for today’s “M-1: Breakthrough” show, which is the first of what M-1 officials call a “premium event series.”
Lawal weighed 219 pounds and opponent Kerr tipped the scale at 263 pounds at the weigh-ins, which took place in Kansas City, Kan.
Tonight’s event, which also features an exhibition sparring match between Strikeforce heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi, takes place at Memorial Hall in Kansas City and airs live on HDNet (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT).
