The Florida State Boxing Commission officially has approved veteran fighter Jimmy Ambriz as an opponent for Bobby Lashley, MMAjunkie.com has confirmed with a commission official.
The Lashley (4-0 MMA, 0-0 SF) vs. Ambriz (14-12-1 MMA, 0-0 SF) fight has been targeted for the Showtime-televised main card of the Jan. 30 “Strikeforce: Miami” event.
However, the fight currently is not signed, and sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com that Strikeforce officials may be exploring other options for Lashley.
