Dana White says title talk premature, but UFC 110′s George Sotiropoulos “in the mix”

It was, perhaps, to be expected.
After native son George Sotiropoulos (12-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) turned in the
fight of his life against the highly respected Joe Stevenson (31-11
MMA, 8-5 UFC) at UFC 110 in Sydney, Australia, the local media
immediately wanted to know what the local boy’s chances were for a shot
at the title.
UFC president Dana White let the Australian media know to tap the
brakes on that discussion, but he did say Sotiropoulos had definitely
carved out a spot in the lightweight title picture with the one-sided
unanimous decision win.

George definitely made a good first showing and did his hometown crowd proud, but I wonder about ole Joe Daddy, it seemed like he was on the come back trail, and then he has this melt down, it seems it’s all or nothing for Joe these days. He doesn’t seem to be able to mentally adjust or modify his attack if things do not go according to plan. I hope Matt Hughes doesn’t have a Joe Daddy moment against Renzio Gracie at UFC 112. Far as George S. fitting into a title fight anytime soon, I am sure Dana must think he needs to pay his due’s against a few more good journey men fighters before that conversation starts in earnest again, even though he dominated a veteran like Stevenson.
