When Strikeforce middleweight prospects Zak Cummings (10-0) and Tim
Kennedy (10-2) squared off at Thursday’s official weigh-ins, the mood
was anything but intense.
The duo was all smiles at the SpiritBank Event Center in Bixby, Okla.,
and Cummings recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio to expect more of the same in tonight’s
“Strikeforce Challengers: Kennedy vs. Cummings” main event on Showtime.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for [Kennedy],” Cummings said. “After
watching his interview before his fight with ‘Mayhem’ Miller, I was
like, ‘I can’t fight this guy. I like him. He cracks me up.’
