Lamas pushes forward and lands a nice low kick, Casimir answers with punches to the head. Lamas advances again and lands a two punch combination followed by a leg kick. Casimir returns fire with an inside low kick. A spirited Lamas didn’t care for the shot to his inner thigh and responded with a flurry finalized by a head kick that sent Casimir backwards to the cage. After a brief tussle along the fence Lamas could not secure the takedown and the fighters returned to the center of the ring. Lamas then loaded up a flying knee that flattened Casimir. The left knee followed a right knee feint that sent Casimir sprawling down towards Lamas legs and right into the knockout blow. Referee Greg Franklin stepped in to save Casimir at 3:43 of the first round.
Courtney Buck vs. Fredson Paixao

Round 1
Buck tries to walk down Paixao but his shorter opponent circles away. Paixao shoots in about 40 seconds into the match and secures a single-leg takedown. Paixao immediately takes his back and sinks his hooks. Paixao is softening Buck up with shots from back mount while he searches for the rear-naked choke. Buck gets to his knees for a brief second but Paixao rolls him back over before slipping his arm under Buck’s chin to lock in the submission. Buck tries to fight it but eventually loses consciousness. Referee Mark Matheny checks his left arm but it is limp and he calls the bout at 2:39 of the first round.
Leonard Garcia vs. George Roop
Round 1
R1 Garcia low kicks to open the action, but Roop shrugs it off. Roop is headhunting early on while Garcia keeps his attack focused on the legs of his lanky opponent. Roop shoots in and secures the takedown, Garcia establishes his guard right away. Garcia cinches a guillotine, but can’t get any leverage on the choke with Roop pushing his shoulder into his chest. Roop pulls his head free and works some ground-and-pound. Garcia escapes back to his feet after a short scramble and lands some good shots in the final minute of the first round. Sherdog.com scores the first round 10-9 for Roop on the strength of his work from the top.

Round 2
Garcia heads back downstairs to start the second, lowkicking Roop to the legs and then loudly to the body. Roop waves Garcia on after a nice right. Roop tries clinching but Garcia shrugs him off. Garcia is looking a bit winded ever since the failed guillotine in the first. Roop drives in for another takedown and plants Garcia along the cage. Roop keeps Garcia stacked to lessen the chances of a submission attempt from the bottom. He improves position and tries to knee to the body, but referee Kevin Mulhall mistakenly thought it was to the head and separated the fighters. He warned Roop and restarted the bout. Garcia, perhaps feeling a bit desperate, launched into a full offensive. He lands some nice shots but Roop answers back as the round closes. Sherdog.com scores round two 10-9 for Roop.
Round 3
Roop looks the fresher of the two as the final round gets underway. He pots shots Garcia with the jab and then lands a nice head-kick that is partially blocked by Garcia. Roop drives in and scores another double-leg takedown but Garcia finds his way back to his feet quickly. Garcia drills Roop with a nice right and follows with a knee along the cage but Roop retreats unscathed. Roop connects to the groin of Garcia and Mulhall decides to take a point. On the restart, Garcia attacks wildly with punches before Roop takes him down yet again. The two fighters scrap frantically as the seconds tick down. Big shots are landed but both fighters remain upright until the final bell. Sherdog.com scores the final round 9-9 with the point deduction.

Fighters are feeling each other out a bit before Castillo lands a heavy low kick about 45 seconds into the bout. Pettis lurches forward with strikes and Castillo drops under for the takedown. Pettis tries to establish position but Castillo retreats back to his feat before he can even look for a submission. Castillo bullies Pettis into the cage and lands a hard knee to the groin that doubles Pettis over. The referee steps in and breaks the fight to allow him to recover. Just after the restart Pettis lands a blistering left-head kick to the head of Castillo that flat lines him. Pettis followed with punches until the referee Jerry Poe could get there to pull him away at 2:17 of the round.
Chad Mendes vs. Erik Koch
Round 1
Mendes bullies his way inside right off the bat but Koch escapes his clinch in swift fashion. Koch pops his jab but Mendes changes levels and pushes him back against the cage. Koch fights his way clear again and the crowd lets the fighters know they don’t appreciate the slow pace. Mendes finally gets the fight to the ground but Koch sits right up and tries to use the cage to walk back to his feet. Mendes fights to keep him down but can’t. Koch misses with a jab and gets slammed to the mat after Mendes drives him all the way across the cage. Koch works the rubber guard and strikes from the bottom. Mendes breaks the free and throws an elbow but his offense is limited. He tries to jump past the guard of Koch but is still snared as the round closes. The close round goes to Mendes 10-9.

Mendes leaps in with a single right hand to kick off the second. Koch answers with a combination but is put on his back with a Mendes double for his effort. Koch works the rubber guard again while Mendes tries to get a little ground and pound attack going. Koch slips the leg in front of Mendes head but he defends by pulling his arm out and sitting back down in the guard. Mendes passes to half and tries to pin Koch’s left arm with his knee. He catches it for a second and lands a couple soft punches. Koch gets his guard back but Mendes is getting into the ground game. He lands a pair of hard elbows and a big left hand. Mendes passed to half again but Koch shrimps and goes for a kimura as the horn sounds. Round two clearly goes to Mendes 10-9 though the crowd is not enthralled by the ground struggle.
Round 3
Mendes kicks off the third with some chopping low kicks. Koch clinches as his corner Pat Barry urges him on, screaming “Go, you gotta go,” over and over. Mendes is cut outside the left eye, not sure if it was a punch or a head butt. Mendes puts Koch on the canvas again but can’t establish position before referee Greg Franklin stands them back up. The ringside physician checks Mendes cut and allows the bout to continue. Blood in pouring down the left side of Mendes face as Koch targets the cut with his jab. Mendes takes the fight back down with about 90 seconds to go but as Koch gets back to his feet Mendes inadvertently pokes him in the eye. Koch drops to the canvas in pain and Franklin breaks to allow him to recover. Mendes takes him right back down on the restart and lands a couple elbows before time expires. Round three goes to Mendes 10-9.

Round 1
Jorgensen easily stuffs George’s shot to begin the fight. He takes hold of his neck and locks up a tight guillotine. George tries to back his way out but Jorgensen pins him along the cage and lifts him off the ground. George taps out at 31 seconds giving Jorgensen the win.
It was a vicious submission that left George in pain on the mat.

Darabedyan backs him into the cage and lights him up with lefts and rights before dumping him to the canvas. Palaszewski moves to his closed guard. Palaszewski climbs up with legs. Darabedyan postures out and punches. Palaszewski circles away from the cage. Darabedyan in his opponent’s half guard. 2:40 to go. Darabedyan delivers some short hammerfists and bigger punches before Palaszewski gets his closed guard back. Darabedyan breaks Palaszewski’s guard open and lands more punches. Palaszewski not close to a submission, only getting hit when he opens his guard. A minute to go. Palaszewski opens his guard and tries to hook an arm. Then Palaszewski sinks a

Round 1
Jerry Poe is reffing. Both fighters in southpaw stances. Taurosevicius takes the center of the cage. They lock up after Davis ducks under a jab. He pushes Taurosevicius to the fence. Taurosevicius has one overhook and they trade short strikes on the opposite side. Taurosevicius reverses Davis to put Davis’ back against the fence, but Davis defends a takedown and puts Taurosevicius’ back against the fence again. 2:40 to go. The fighters are separated and restarted. Inside kick from Taurosevicius. Davis sticks Taurosevicius with a jab and they lock up with Taurosevicius against the cage. They trade knees to the body. An exchange begins the second without anything major landing. Both men back away when the other throws. Taurosevicius shoots for a double, and Davis defends against the fence. Taurosevicius switches to a single, and Davis sprawls on it, showing good defense, but Taurosevicius stays with it until he takes the top position on the ground. Davis working on standing up against the cage, and Taurosevicius trying to control him. Davis stands up without taking any damage. They’re clinched against the cage, 2:35 to go. Taurosevicius knees low and Davis groans, but the ref doesn’t intervene. Davis turns Taurosevicius around against the fence. Short punches and knees from both. Neither fighter wants to stay in the pocket and exchange. They take turns throwing and backing away and then clinch against the cage again. Taurosevicius works on a body lock. Taurosevicius misses a big elbow, and Davis reverses and then breaks. 3:00 to go. Davis ducks under some strikes for a takedown attempt, but it isn’t close. Taurosevicius works on a single-leg against the fence. Davis uses an overhook to stand him up, but Taurosevicius digs deep for a double-leg attempt. Davis defends well, and they’re restarted at 2:10 in the center. Davis throws a straight left and almost loses his footing and then finally hits a double-leg to ground Taurosevicius. Vazquez pursues with punches and grabs another kick, but Pulver tries a guillotine. He rolls Vazquez to his back. Vazquez escapes, but Pulvers stands out. Back on the feet. Pulver kicks to the thigh again, and Vazquez gets the takedown. He takes Pulver’s back as Pulver tries to stand, but Pulver reverses and a quick-paced fight goes to Vazquez’s closed guard. 3:15 in. Pulver stands out and tries to kick, which Vazquez uses to take down Pulver. He works in Pulver’s butterfly guard and moves into side control. Vazquez locks up a crucifix and peppers Pulver’s ear. Pulver shoots his arms under Vazquez, who maintains control and goes to Pulver’s back with both hooks.

Kevin Mulhall is the ref for the main event. Cruz kicks to the thigh, and Bowles misses with a straight right counter. Cruz is moving around while Bowles looks for the KO. Good right from Cruz. He misses a wild left. He’s showing Bowles a variety of angles. Bowles glances him with an uppercut. Both fighters connect with rights. They break, and Cruz lands another right that hurts Bowles. Lands a massive right and referee Steve Percival stands them up shortly after. Pokrajac comes forward with solid punches. Te Huna avoids the takdown and the fighters move against the cage. Pokrajac unloads. Te Huna with a big slam and unloads with solid punches and elbows to finish the round. Te Huna 10-9.

Te Huna clinches early and attempts a takedown against the cage. Pokrajac again gets lifted and slammed. Te Huna is showing great physical strength. Te Huna unloads with punches against the cage. The referee advises to be more active. Stands them up and Pokrajac lands a big knee. Slam by Te Huna again and ends up in Pokrajac’s guard. Te Huna looks tired and the referee stands them up again. Both fighters exchange big punches, and Pokrajac is getting the better of the exchanges. Pokrajac lifts Te Huna up, but can not put him on the canvas with a big right. Te Huna connects with knees. Pokrajac is unloading with big punches that drop Te Huna. Pokrajac attempts to finish the fight, but time runs out in the round. Pokrajac 10-9.
Round 3
Te Huna starts round three with another big punch. Te Huna is on top in half guard. he moves to the mount and Pokrajac turns. Te Huna gets the back however Pokrajac scrambles back to his feet. The fighters are against the cage and Pokrajac gets a takedown. Te Huna immediately gets back to his feet and Te Huna gets another takedown. Te huna in Pokrajac’s closed guard. Both fighters are looking tired. Pokrajac attempts to get up but is met by a right and ends up on his back. Te Huna unloads with a flurry of punches and the referee stops the fight. Te Huna is the winner 3.26 into the third round.
C.B. Dollaway vs. Goran Reljic
Round 1
Slow pace to begin the fight. Reljic lands two solid low kicks. Dollaway attempts a takedown, but Reljic ends up on top with Dollaway pulling guard. Dollaway attempts to get up and Reljic unloads. Back on their feet and the fighters exchange punches. An ancidental eye poke by Dollaway forces the referee to halt the fight briefly. The action resumes and Reljic lands a low kick and Dollaway goes for a takedown. Following a referee standup, Dalloway gets a takedown and puts Reljic on his back. Reljic stands straight back up and Dalloway gets another takedown to Reljic’s open guard. The fighters scramble and get back up on their feet where they finish the round. 10-9 Reljic.
Round 2
Good low kicks by Reljic, but Dalloway gets the takedown and is attempting to get to half guard. Reljic attempts an armbar from the bottom and Dollaway was having none of it. The fighters stand and Dollaway lands a head kick. Reljic comes back with a body kick and another solid kick to the midsection. Reljic counters Dollaway with a massive right and gets the takedown straight away. The fighters are against the cage. Dollaway with head shots against the cage. Reljic attempts another armbar, but can not lock it up. Fighters stand up and Dollaway lands a kick. Reljic comes forward and lands a big body punch to finish the round. 10-9 Dollaway.
Round 3
Dollaway comes forward with a one-two combo followed by a takedown that puts Pokrajac on his back against the cage. Reljic is looking for a kimura and the crowd boos as Dollaway uses guard to get up. Dollaway is on top inside the guard, but Reljic stands back up and comes forward to unload with punches and kicks. Dollaway gets a takedown and Reljic reverses the position. Tries to go to mount but ends up in side control instead, where he traps Dollaway’s arm in a crucifix. Elbows from Reljic. Dollaway escapes and gets the top position inside Reljic’s closed guard. Reljic is using the rubber guard and Dollaway powers out of it. Dolloway 10-9.

Chris Lytle vs. Brian Foster
Round 1
Lytle with a big overhand right that misses. Another wild punch from Lytle and Foster counters with a takedown. Lytle is up on his feet straight away. Lytle throws a big overhead and Foster counters with a right. A spinning-back kick followed by a head kick from Foster gets claps from the crowd. A left hook from Lytle stuns Foster. Foster attempts a takedown, but Lytle counters and locks up a kneebar and forces the tap from Foster. The hold is gruesome and Foster is helped from the cage at 1:41 of the first.
Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
Round 1
Soszynski comes out strong and lands a nice knee while pressing his opponent against the cage. Bonnar gets an eye poke in, and claims it was a punch. The referee calls time and restarts the action immediately after. Bonnar shoots in, but can not get the takedown. Bonnar is bleeding from the nose. Soszynski with a kick, which Bonnar grabs and takes him to the ground. Soszynski is back on his feet and Bonnar follows. Soszynski lands a big uppercut and the blood is really leaking out of Bonnar now. Another flurry, which Soszysnki gets the better off to finish the round. 10-9 Soszynski.
Round 2
Bonnar comes out hard with a flurry of punches. Both guys are throwing heavy leather against the cage. Bonnar starting to find his mark with the hands. Bonnar clinches against the cage and lands elbows from the inside. A nice left from Soszynski and then a right that hit Bonnar on the button. Bonnar comes back with a spinning-back kick and a kick to the body that gets a raise from the crowd. Soszynski comes back with a head kick that Bonnar caught and swept to the ground to end the round. 10-9 Bonnar.
Round 3
Bonnar attempts a single leg shot, but couldn’t get it and the fighters end up against the cage. Bonnar is opened up badly and bleeding everywhere. The cut looked like it came from an accidental head butt. The referee stops the fight for the doctor to have a look at. Doctor recommends that the fight be stopped and the referee calls it. TKO victory to Soszysnki. Bonnar questions if should the fight should had been stopped as it was a head butt. The official time is 1:04 of the opening frame.
Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic vs. Anthony Perosh
Round 1
Cro Cop comes forward and misses an uppercut and a left head kick. Perosh is retreating early. Perosh shoots for a single and the striker defends it easily and punishes his foe with hammerfists. Cro Cop controls the head and lets Perosh back to his feet. Cro Cop lands a straight left that knocks Perosh backwards. Perosh shoots and Cro Cop defends. Round 2
Perosh opens up with his hands and Cro Cop sneaks in a left-handed uppercut and stops a follow-up shot. Cro Cop steps forward and lands a left hand. Cro Cop lands a kick to the body and connects with two low kicks. Cro Cop steps backwards and Perosh loses all momentum with yet another failed takedown attempt. Filipovic ties up the head for a minute and then lets his foe up. Cro Cop chases his feeling prey to the fence and the frightened Perosh shoots desperately. Perosh ends up pulling guard and Cro Cop cuts him with a vicious elbow from the guard. Blood pours out onto the canvas. Referee Herb Dean has the cut examined and does a good job in keeping Cro Cop’s cornermen out of the Octagon. The fight is resumed and Cro Cop pummels the bleeding fighter with punches after yet another failed shot.

Round 1
Jardine misses a wild right hand. Jardine clips Jardine with a right hand and then follows by going to the clinch. Bader is pressing his opponent against the cage. Bader lets go to punch and eats a right hand for his efforts. The fighters trade ineffective strikes and then Jardine gets sloppy, which allows Bader to get an easy single-leg takedown. Jardine gets to guard and works for a sweep. Bader passes and moves back to half guard. Bader elbows the thigh from the top position and then elbows the head with his right arm. Jardine gets a butterfly guard, but Bader easily passes back to half, where he rains down more elbows to the head. Referee Josh Rosenthal stands the fighters and Bader swings wildly. He misses by a large margin. Jardine gets in a low kick at the horn.

Bader looks for the takedown early in round two. He presses Jardine against the cage, but Jardine defends the level change with underhooks. Jardine places a knee on the canvas and uses wrist control on the right arm to stay planted. Bader stands and Jardine follows. Bader connects with a clean straight right. Jardine gets in a jab and an ugly right hand. Jardine easily sprawls on a double. The Greg Jackson product lands a low kick and stuffs another shot. Jardine’s takedown defense is solid throughout the second stanza until Bader briefly trips him up at the five second mark.

Bader telegraphs a shot from long distance. Jardine defends and misses a low kick. Bader checks two straight low kicks and is taken down. Jardine bounces back up quickly and lands a low kick. Bader connects with a right hand that buckles Jardine’s knees. Sensing the end, Bader attacks with a flying knee that connects with the chest. Jardine backs up and is knocked down with a left hook. His eyes roll back and referee Josh Rosenthal stops the contest at 2:10 of the third, giving Ryan Bader the technical knockout.
Joe Stevenson vs. George Sotiropoulos
Round 1
Sotiropoulos fights to get a takedown throughout the first minute and he eventually gets it when Stevenson gives up and pulls guard. Sotiropoulos works from the top and gets to half guard. Stevenson holds the trapped leg tight and Sotiropoulos is 100 percent focused on passing. Sotiropoulos gets free and Stevenson locks up an arm triangle from the bottom in side control. Sotiropoulos escapes easily and moves to mount. Sotiropoulos goes to Stevenson’s back and then to side control. Sotiropoulos looks for a kimura to armbar transition, but he runs out of time. The crowd goes nuts for the Aussie fighter’s dominating round.

Stevenson escapes and moves to the guard of his foe. With his head against the fence, Sotiropoulos closes his guard. He opens it and Stevenson drops down for a nasty Achilles hold. Sotiropoulos grimaces, but powers through the hold. Sotiropoulos works an arm triangle as the round ends.

Sotiropoulos cracks Stevenson with a left hook that knocks spit from his mouth. Sotiropoulos ties up and Stevenson pulls guard with a guillotine. Sotiropoulos escapes and Stevenson works for a double and then a single. Sotiropoulos trips Stevenson, but can’t hold him down. Sotiropoulos double jabs in the center of the cage. A right hand connects for Sotiropoulos and Stevenson gets stuffed on two straight takedowns. Sotiropoulos throws Stevenson to the floor, but Stevenson ends up in the top position in half guard. The fighters scramble for position and stand before Stevenson secures a trip takedown. Sotiropoulos ties him up from the bottom in the final 10 seconds of the bout. Great fight.

Round 1: Big feeling-out process early. A minute in, Bisping takes him down. Silva gets right back up, Bisping lands a knee from the clinch. Body kick by Bisping, but Silva shrugs it off. Bisping takes him down again, and Silva again returns to his feet quickly, but Bisping lands a hook as he’s getting up. Early advantage to Bisping. Silva lands a right hand as the clock reaches 90 seconds remaining. Silva lands a series of leg kicks, and then his first flurry with a minute remaining. Bisping answers with a hard right seconds later. Bisping tries another takedown, but this time Silva stops it. Silva flurries at the end of the round, but it’s still Bisping’s round, 10-9, as MMA Fighting sees it.
Round 2: Bisping went for a kick, Silva caught it and took him down with a trip. Bisping escaped to his feet, although Silva scored with a body kick on the way up. Silva landed a powerful straight right at the midway point, backing Bisping up. Moments later, Bisping scored another takedown. Silva scrambled and exploded free. This fight is different than most expectations, as the usually aggressive fighters are much more conservative than usual. Still entertaining, just different. Bisping scores another takedown, but Silva sinks in a guillotine as time runs low. Silva squeezes for all he’s worth, but the round ends, saving Bisping. A very close round, that MMA Fighting scores for Silva, 10-9.
Round 3: Silva draws first blood in the round with a straight right. About 90 seconds into the round, Bisping landed a kick below the belt, causing a timeout. They fight on. The two exchange kicks. Bisping shoots, but Silva sprawls. The fans start a “Silva” chant, and he urges them on, even while avoiding Bisping punches. Silva stuffs another takedown try. Ninety seconds left, and another timeout as Silva suffers an eyepoke.Silva pushes forward as the round winds down. Bisping is avoiding most of the fire. Silva catches another leg kick and sweeps him down again, but Bisping back to his feet quickly. This could have been a razor close decision, a judge’s nightmare, until Silva made a final statement with a right hand behind the ear that dropped Bisping just before the horn. MMA Fighting scores the round for Silva, 10-9.

Round 1: No touch of gloves. They exchange punch combos. Velasquez lands with leg kicks. Velasquez connects with a left. Nogueira throws a jab and Velasquez bobs away. Velasquez hits with another leg kick. Velasquez tags Nogueira and Nogueira doesn’t even flinch. Velasquez lands a jab and leg kick. He lands the combo again. A high kick is blocked. Nogueira shoots out jabs and misses. Velasquez with another leg kick. Short exchange. Velasquez lands a knee to the body. Velasquez’s boxing looks much improved. He’s also utilizing kicks really well. Velasquez drops Nogueira with a left to the chin followed by a right just above Nogueira’s right ear. Velasquez drops five unanswered punches and Nogueira is out.

Round 1
Gracie shoots for an immediate takedown and pushes Beltran into the cage. Knees from the clinch follow from the Brazilian. Beltran breaks free and stuffs a takedown attempt, but Gracie moves back to the clinch and scores with a takedown. Gracie mounts immediately and Beltran surrenders his back. Gracie transitions back to the full mount with 3:20 left in the round. Beltran reverses into top position on the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, and the two heavyweights stand. Gracie lands a straight right hand and another, as he pushes back into the clinch. With roughly 45 seconds to go, they trade wildly in the center of the Octagon. Gracie, the considerably large of the two men, carries his hands low. He shoots for a late takedown, but Beltran sprawls and batters him with ground-and-pound. 10-9 Gracie.

Gracie tries for another takedown, and Beltran meets him with a sprawl. Gracie looks winded and eats a knee to the top of his head for his troubles. Almost stationary, Gracie shoots again and catches only air, as the crowd answers with boos. Beltran stops another takedown from the exhausted Brazilian, lands in top position on Gracie’s back and pounds away for the finish, as referee Herb Dean intervenes 1:31 into round two.

The much taller Hague paws with a left jab. Tuchscherer clinches quickly and presses the Canadian into the cage. Tuchscherer, sporting a robust belly, has his single leg thwarted. Hague traps Tuchscherer’s left arm and defends the takedown well. Still against fence, they finally separate 90 seconds in. They circle and Hague lands a decent right hand. Tuchscherer counters with a left hand. Tuchscherer misses with a flailing right/left and shoots in for a double-leg, but he is stuffed. In the skirmish, Hague inadvertently lands a right knee to the groin. Tuchscherer not exactly feeling too well at this point but continues moments later. Tuchscherer lands a hard right leg kick. Both men sizing each other up with little action. Tuchscherer throws a series of strikes but none of his punches land cleanly. Hague lands a vicious leg kick with less than two minutes remaining. Tuchscherer presses Hague into the fence again but Hague defends the takedown well. Tuchscherer seems to be staggered by a short left hand by Hague and he stumbles forward. Hague latches on a standing guillotine. It looks remotely deep. Tuchscherer clears his head and fights his way out of the choke. Tuchscherer still has Hague pinned against the fence. Hague lands a hard choppy right hand seconds into the round. Tuchscherer quickly scores a single leg but he is rolled over into a kimura. It looks deep but Tuchscherer is fighting his way out. He’s safe and has side control. They scramble up but Hague slips into a standing guillotine. It’s loose and Tuchscherer lets it go. Hague separates with a knee and punch. They circle and both take deep breaths. Two minutes in and the pace has slowed. Hard right/left hands by Tuchscherer but Hague is unfazed. Tuchscherer lands a decent left leg kick and follows it up with a short hook. Hague defends well. Tuchscherer closes the gap and again presses his opponent into the fence. Hague pushes off and separates again. They circle and Tuchscherer lands a right hand. Hague looking very tired with 90 seconds left. Hague backs away from the fight and looks at the big screen for the clock.
He is gassed. Hague misses with a wild flying knee and falls into a clinch. Tuchscherer reverses and again presses his foe into the cage. Tuchscherer looking for the single leg but he’s stuffed. Trainer Greg Nelson implores Tuchscherer to not turn his back on Hague or else he won’t stay in the Octagon between rounds. Hague comes out firing right at the start and tags Tuchscherer. Tuchscherer is wobbly. Hague closes the gap and unloads a barrage of punches. Tuchscherer covers up and tries to fire back. It’s a wild slugfest and Tuchscherer is hurt. Tuchscherer tries for a takedown but hague slams him down. Hague in dominant position and lands some decent punches. Tuchscherer scrambles out of harm and is able to roll onto his back to try and pull guard. Tuchscherer desperately trying to pull guard but Hague is able to scoot over to half guard. Hague relents and rests on his wounded foe. Hague scoots up high and he has the position for an inverted triangle. He can’t seal it. Tuchscherer slips out and turtles up. Hague lands some decent punches. Tuchscherer rolls back over onto his back and Hague lands in half guard. Tuchscherer slips out but gives up his back. Hague has a chance for a rear naked but he misses and allows Tuchscherer to escape. They scamble again but Hague is able to keep Tuchscherer down and against the fence. 30 seconds left and Tuchscherer needs a miracle. Hague now in half guard and wails away with punches. The horn sounds and saves Tuchscherer from a stoppage. 10-8 Hague.

Round 1
Referee is Steve Mazzagatti. They touch gloves and circle away right off the bat. Both pawing with jabs and leg kicks but nothing hs landed. Davis misses a left head kick and spins out of harm’s way. Davis shoots in but is stuffed and winds up pinning Stann into the cage. Working with only one underhook, Davis can’t land the takedown. Stann pushes off and circles away from the clinch and brings the fight to center cage. Davis stalking while he bobs and weaves. Hard left inside leg kick by Stann. Davis looks a little hesitant right now, trying to time Stann for the takedown. Davis lands a hard left kick to Stann’s body. Davis shoots in and scores a heavy takedown and immediately secures side control. ‘Mr. Wonderful” has Stann pinned into the fence, but Stann rolls over onto his hands and knees. Stann trying to wall walk. Davis flattens Stann but the Marine rolls back onto his back to avoid the choke. Davis has full mount with 45 seconds left. Davis lands two nice left hands. Stann rolls onto his back and Davis flattens him. Davis rains down some strikes and Stann rolls onto his back again. The horn ends with Stann in serious trouble. 10-9 Davis.

Stann misses a lunging right hand early on. Davis looks very confident early on. Stann misses another punch and Davis shoots in. He lands a textbook double leg takedown. davis immediately moves to full mount. Stann is in deep trouble as Davis’ wrestling is superb. Davis lands some strikes and Stann scrambles. Davis is all over Stann and won’t let him breathe. Stann desperately scrambles out and is able to pull Davis into half guard. Davis scoots over and moves to side control. Davis tries a kimura but its not happening. He lets go and attempts an arm triangle. Stann defends well but during a scramble he’s mounted again. Stann can’t escape anything. Stann misses some punches. Stann needs to keep this one on the feet if he’s to win. Davis lands a leg kick but eats a straight right from the Marine. Stann misses another right hand and is quickly shot in on. Stann stuffs it but Davis is too determined to be stopped. Davis lands the single leg. Stann crumbles onto his back and his body language displays complete frustration. Davis scoots over to full mount. Stann shells up and blocks a series of punches from the wrestler. Stann bucks Davis off but he has no time to escape; Davis dives right back onto his opponent. Davis lands right back into a full mount. Stann needs some sort of escape and a clean punch to end it, but he just can’t get Davis off. With a minute left, Davis is still over him. Davis rolls Stann over when Stann gives up his back, but he can’t land the rear-naked choke. Stann rolls over but Davis grabs the arm. Davis pulls the arm over and locks in the armbar. It’s anybody’s fight coming into the final round. First two rounds could have gone to either man. Emerson lands a right leg kick right away. Nover circles and dishes out a kick to the stomach. Emerson doubles over; the kick was right on the cup. Emerson is walking off the pain from the accidental groin kick. After a brief hiatus, they continue. Serra hits the body with a right hand. Serra continues to work the body and Trigg opens up with counter punches to the head. Trigg lands a left straight. Serra, the much shorter fighter, is having early success with the right hook to the midsection. Trigg is fighting in a ridged, tall stance. Trigg, with his hands down, throws a left straight and is put down by a counter right hook. Serra swarms with right and left hands until referee Josh Rosenthal steps in to save Trigg at 2:23 of the opening stanza. Trigg protests the stoppage, but he was clearly defenseless.
Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller
Round 1
Miller gets the bout underway with a one-two that falls short. Maia seems gun-shy early, as he does a lot of flinching and holding back. Maia attempts to clinch and Miller cracks the Brazilian with a right uppercut. Maia cuts off the Octagon and closes enough distance to shoot a single. Miller defends and works a single overhook on the right arm of Maia. Miller gets off the fence and is grazed by a Maia left head kick. He counters with a right hand and lands clean. Maia gets a takedown and Miller hops right back up. Maia knees the cup of Miller and lands several hard punches as the injured fighter calls for time. Referee Steve Mazzagatti gives Miller a short reprieve and the fight is back on. Miller connects with the left side of Maia’s face and then immediately looks down at his right hand, as if it is injured. Maia gets a single-leg, but again he can’t hold Miller down. Miller lands a right hand at the horn.

Maia passes to half guard, and begins to connect with rights to the face. Bleeding from a cut above his left eye, Maia finds himself back in the butterfly guard. Miller is defending beautifully from his back. He gets offensive and looks for a triangle choke. Maia escapes and takes punches to the head from the top position.

Following a feeling-out process that lasts 50 seconds, Thiago grazes a kick off the right side of Swick’s face. Both fighters are reluctant to stay in the pocket early. Swick hurts Thiago with a right hand, but the Brazilian recovers quickly. Swick is coming up short on his low kicks. Thiago lands a hard low kick and then misses a left hook. Both fighters are tight and having problems letting their hands go. The crowd lets them hear it. Thiago steps forward and misses everything in a three-punch combo. Thiago misses a head kick and the crowd grows restless again. Swick drops levels for a single-leg takedown and Thiago gives it to him.

Thiago gets it together and lands a counter right behind the ear and then a left hook. Swick falls and Thiago pounces. Thiago attacks an underhook with a brabo choke and the technique is tight. Swick is out cold. Herb Dean saves Swick at 1:54 of the second frame.
Nate Marquardt vs. Chael Sonnen
Round 1
Sonnen catches a low kick from Marquardt, but he can’t drag him down. Marquardt uses his kicks to keep Sonnen away, but the wrestler closes the distance. Marquardt pulls guard with an arm-in guillotine. Marquardt closes his guard to finish the submission. Sonnen looks to be in big trouble, but he controls the right hand of his opponent and gets free. Marquardt immediately switches to the right shoulder, and Sonnen sees it coming. Marquardt stands and connects with a jumping knee. A bleeding Sonnen finishes the takedown. Sonnen unloads with elbows from the top. The blows are landing clean, and Marquardt is lucky not to be cut. Sonnen continues to punch and elbow the face.

Sonnen drops levels right away and gets an easy double-leg takedown. Sonnen goes to work on Marquardt’s body with punches from the guard. Marquardt looks for a kimura on Sonnen’s right arm. Sonnen stays patient in half guard and escapes. Marquardt gets back to guard and briefly works for a guillotine. Marquardt lands an elbow that opens up a massive cut above the right eye of Sonnen. Marquardt rolls for a kneebar and Sonnen escapes. Both fighters are absolutely covered in blood as Sonnen is opened up bad. Sonnen is controlling Marquardt from the back. Sonnen is dominating Marquardt with dominant control and punches to the head. The fighters trade elbows before Marquardt stands. Sonnen gets another takedown and finishes the round strongly with more punches.

Marquardt attempts a fast takedown and Sonnen easily stuffs it. Sonnen transitions to a takedown of his own and he has it. Marquardt scrambles and gets to his feet, but Sonnen is on his back. Sonnen knees the back of the thigh and then drags his prey to the floor. Sonnen is all over Marquardt with his right hand on the ground. Marquardt slaps the side of the head as Sonnen’s blows become predictable. Marquardt uses a butterfly guard to stand. Sonnen drops down and Marquardt pulls guard with a guillotine. The choke is deep as Sonnen strains and his face turns purple. Marquardt runs out of gas and is forced to let go. Marquardt sweeps and takes the top in north-south. Marquardt controls and lands a right hand before going to the guard at the horn.

Couture jabs effectively early. He lands four clean jabs and then cleans Coleman’s clock with a straight right. Couture steps forward and Coleman lands a right hook that backs Couture up. Coleman lands a jab in the center of the Octagon and backs straight away from a punching flurry. Couture lands a right hand and then roughs Coleman up with knees to the chin from a Thai plum. A left hook buckles Coleman’s frame. Couture goes to the clinch and lands an uppercut. Couture has Coleman’s back pressed to the cage, and begins to work his dirty-boxing game. Neither fighter has any interest in a ground battle thus far. Couture connects with two consecutive uppercuts that snap Coleman’s head back. The pace slows as Coleman ties Couture up on the inside.

Coleman refuses to tap and Steve Mazzagatti pulls Couture off just as Coleman was passing out. The official time is 1:09 of round two.

Homasi swings wildly over the top of Kelly’s head, Kelly clinches but Homasi shrugs him off. Homasi gets a takedown but Kelly is right back up to his feet. The two fighters exchange frantically with neither landing much of consequence. Homasi is put on his back by a trip takedown and Kelly quickly moves to mount. Kelly delivering blows from the top position before moving to his back. Homasi defends and gets back to his feet as time expires. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Kelly.

Homasi takes top position but is swept. Kelly works a rear naked-choke while Homasi continues to defend.
He works his way clear of the attacking arm for a moment but Kelly slips it back under his chin and cinches the submission. Homasi taps out at 2:48 of the second round.
Hayder Hassan vs. Ryan Keenan
Round 1
Not much action as the two fighters feel each other out. Hassan steps in for a combination and Keenan counters with neither fighter landing. Hassan is moving forward and finally lands the first meaningful shot of the fight but is immediately countered by Keenan with a solid right hand. Hassan corners Kennan along the cage and blasts him with a sequence of punches that leaves him stumbling to the mat. Hassan follows him down and lands a few more before standing back up and allowing Keenan to stand. Hassan lands another flurry that sends Keenan is back peddling again. Sherdog.com tallies the first round 10-9 for Hassan.
Round 2
Hassan, still moving forward, punishes Keenan with another three-punch combination. Keenan still looking fresh while Hassan is starting to breathe a little heavier. Hassan darts in and launches another salvo of punches along the cage, catching Keenan as he tried to return fire with a big right hand the knocks him unconscious at 2:42 of the second round.
Pablo Alfonso vs. Marcos da Matta
Round 1
Alfonso leads with his left and pops da Matta with a nice combination. Again, Alfonso slides a lead left from his southpaw stance to the head of da Matta. Da Matta shoots in for a takedown, but Alfonso locks up a guillotine and falls to his back. Da Matta escapes but immediately gets caught in a tight armbar that forces him to tapout at 1:47 of the first round.
Craig Oxley vs. David Gomez
Round 1
Gomez rushes in for a shot and bullies Oxley to the mat. Oxley grabs a loose guillotine choke and uses it to sweep Gomez to his back. Oxley gives up the hold as he tries to move to mount but Gomez uses the opening to scramble back to the top and into side control. Oxley gets his guard back but Gomez is undeterred, landing punches from the top. Gomez stands in the guard and unloads again before settling back into the guard. The bell sounds and Gomez lands one more punch for good measure. Oxley is not appreciative of the gesture and clobbers him back before the two separate and head back to their corners. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Gomez.
Round 2
Gomez shoots and hits a takedown to begin the second frame. He tries to take the back but Oxley scrambles free. The fighters engage in a leg lock battle with neither fighter gaining an advantage. Gomez rolls back to top position in Oxley’s guard. Oxley sweeps from half guard and puts Gomez on his back for a moment. As they scramble, Oxley tries to lock up a triangle but Gomez defends. After a brief lull on the ground the fighters are brought back to the center of the cage. On the restart, Oxley lands a nice two-punch combination and finishes off the round with a spinning-back kick. Oxley looks to have injured his knee on the kick. He falls to the ground but quickly jumps back to his feet and limps to his corner. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Oxley.
Round 3
Gomez shoots back in to start the third and plants Oxley on the mat. Not a whole lot of action going on here as Gomez seems content to sit in Oxley’s guard. Oxley goes for a triangle but Gomez easily defends and moves to side control. Oxley gets his guard back, but can’t really do much as the round comes to a close. Sherdog.com scores the final period 10-9 for Gomez.

John Clarke vs. Joe Ray
Round 1
Clarke pushes Ray up along the cage and works for a takedown. Ray uses an underhook to keep Clarke away from his legs and the two stalemate. Ray lands a nice knee from the clinch but there is not much else going. Referee Jorge Ortiz breaks the fight and restarts it in the center of the cage. Ray lands a big knee that staggers Clarke. He throws him to the canvas and follows up with punches that force Ortiz to halt the action at 3:14 of the first round.
Jay Hieron vs. Joe Riggs
Round 1
Riggs paws with his jab while Hieron circles looking for an opening as the welterweight contender match gets underway. Hieron leaps in with a nice right hand that Riggs takes well before changing levels for a takedown. Hieron retreats and they reset in the middle of the cage. Hieron lands another lead right hand. Hieron with a two-punch combination punctuated with a spinning back-kick that lands to Riggs shoulder. Riggs moving forward now but it is Hieron landing most of the meaningful shots. Riggs throws a superman punch but Hieron ducks under and takes him to the ground with a body-lock. There is zero action on the ground before the round closes. Jay Hieron takes the first round 10-9 on the Sherdog.com scorecard.
Round 2
Riggs, from his southpaw stance, continues to push forward as the second period gets started. He has only thrown single shots up to this point while Hieron has been throwing more shots in bunches. Hieron takes the fight back to the floor early in the round and settles into Riggs’ guard. Hieron pounds away, unabated, at the body of Riggs with right hands until his opponent ties him up. Apparently the crowd is not pleased with the tactical fight that is being waged and they shower the cage with boos. Hieron finally lands a good shot from the top and the crowd briefly stirs. Riggs walks up the cage to get back to his feet as the 10 second warning sounds and the round closes with the fighters clinched along the cage. Round 3
Riggs’ trainer Trevor Lally implores him to attack Hieron who he claims is tiring as he emerges from his corner to start the third frame. Riggs answers his pleas with a bruising right hook that hurts Hieron. A wobbly Hieron answered back with a takedown and some ground and pound. Referee Frank Gentile deems there is a dearth of action and returns the fighters to the standing position. Hieron is sporting some blood around his left eye, possibly from the earlier punch. Riggs walks right into a short left hook that puts him down. Hieron pounces and tries to finish but Riggs survives to the end of the round. Lashley postures on Sims’ high guard and delivers right hands to the head. Sims closes his guard and Lashley pounds away exclusively with his right hand. Sims is eating some leather. The Hammer House product turns his back to avoid punishment and Lashley unloads. Referee Troy Waugh steps in to halt the contest prematurely. Sims complains, but he offered little defense. The official time is 2:06 of the opening frame.
Robbie Lawler vs. Melvin Manhoef
Round 1
Manhoef takes the center of the cage and Lawler circles away. Lawler misses a kick to the head and Manhoef drills him with a kick to the body. Manhoef blocks another head kick attempt and the crowd grows restless. Manhoef lands another kick to the ribs 90 seconds in. Lawler misses a low kick and Manhoef connects with a sharp kick to Lawler’s lead leg. Manhoef roughs up Lawler’s leg and piles it on to the body. Manhoef opens up with his hands and lands a right end to finish off a flurry. Manhoef is bullying the UFC and Pride veteran with kicks and punches. Manhoef connects with a jumping knee to the chest and continues to unload with uppercuts and hooks. Just when it looked as if Lawler wanted out of the fight, he lands a right-hand counter that stops his opponent in his tracks.
Manhoef slowly falls and Lawler crushes him with a brutal left hook for good measure. Manhoef lays motionless for several tense moments, but eventually gets to his feet under his own power. The official time is 3:33 of round one.
Herschel Walker vs. Greg Nagy
Round 1
Walker falls short on a jab, but connects on his second attempt. Walker lands a low kick to Nagy’s left leg. And another. Walker is dancing, taunting his opponent. He throws another low kick that hurts Nagy. Walker sprawls on a lazy double attempt and controls the head in a four-point position. Walker transitions to the top and begins to hit the head with both hands from half guard. Nagy goes high with his hips in search of an armbar, but Walker has none of it. Walker is controlling from the top like a savvy veteran, pushing the right leg down and controlling the wrists. Nagy sets up a heel hook and Walker escapes. 90 seconds remain in the first stanza. Walker moves to north-douth position and is warned for punching the back of the head by referee Troy Waugh. Walker pins Nagy’s left arm under his left leg and works a one-arm kimura on his foe’s left arm. Walker lands punches to the head with his right hand as the round ends.

Nagy turns over, and Walker has a smothering high mount. Nagy gets to his feet and eats a knee on the mouth. Walker pushes his opponent’s head to the floor and sprawls on a single leg. Walker moves to his back, and he secures both hooks. The former runningback legend punches the head with both hands and Nagy has no defense for the tight positioning. Walker moves to mount before the round ends.

Coenen opens with a front kick and Cyborg flurries both hands. Coenen ties up with the Brazilian and Cyborg pushes her against the fencing. Coenen throws a straight right and Cyborg swings for the fences. Santos trips her opponent to the floor. Cyborg stands up and lunges punches downward before jumping back into the guard. Coenen works for an armbar and Cyborg pulls her arm free and dives back in. A Coenen upkick connects with the champion’s chin. Coene stands and is blasted by a right hook. Coenen has the cleaner punches, by Cyborg has a large power advantage. Cyborg moves to the challenger’s back while standing, but can’t hold the position. Now in the clinch, both fighters trade knees to the body and high thigh. Coenen breaks the clinch with an elbow that misses. Cyborg chases her prey across the cage and lands a right hook.

Cyborg controls well as Coenen raises her legs high in search of offense. Cyborg stands and Coenen belts the champion with a straight right. Coenen looks surprised that Cyborg isn’t fazed. Coenen shoots and ends up pulling guard. The pounch must have angered the Brazilian, and she shifts to another gear with her punches. Right after left land to the face of the Dutch fighter. Cyborg stands in a north-south position and continues the violence. Ortiz has seen enough. He steps in halt the bout at 3:40 of the third period to pull Cris Cyborg off her overwhelmed foe.
Strikeforce Welterweight Championship
Nick Diaz vs. Marius Zaromskis
Round 1
Zaromskis quickly lands a one-two and Diaz is all over him with punches. Zaromskis struggles to stay on his feet as Diaz swarms with both hands, landing lefts and rights. Zaromkskis lands a knee to the body as Diaz grabs the right leg for a single. Zaromskis leans against the fence and Diaz knees the exposed thigh as he holds the single. Over and over again Diaz knees the right thigh of Zaromskis, before dragging the Dream champion to the floor. Zaromskis stands and begins to bob and weave under Diaz’s assult. Zaromskis lands a left hook that knocks Diaz to the floor. Zaromskis swarms and Diaz recovers. Both fighters are now standing. Diaz clinches and lands a knee to the body. Diaz breaks free and absolutely beats up Zaromsiks with right and left hooks. Diaz mixes in an uppercut and a punch to the body. Zaromskis is in a world of trouble. Diaz punches the body and goes to the head again. Zaromskis falls to a short right hook and Troy Waugh calls an end to the beating at the 4:38 mark of the first.
Diaz did an excellent job of working all levels of his opponent with knees to the thigh and punches to the head and body.
Michael Byrnes Jr. vs. Dave Zitanick
Byrnes won a majority decision over Dave Zitnick with scores of 30-27 (twice) and 29-29.

Both fighters exchange straight punches to start. Forbes drops Catone to a knee with a short right and they clinch. They separate and Catone is bleeding from the nose looking to time a straight right. Both fighters exchanging, Catone with a teep kick. They clinch and Catone presses Forbes to the fence, getting off a few overhand shots. Catone shoots but Forbes wrests him off. Forbes controlling the center, Catone in with a body kick. Catone shoots again but is halted with an over-under clinch. Catone knees Forbes low and gets a pause. Catone with heavy overhand rights and both fighters mix up strikes as the round closes. Forbes is holding one of Catone’s legs as the horn sounds. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Forbes.

Forbes rides a high guard for a moment as Catone looks for elbows. Fast standup from the referee and crowd is booing. Both fighters paw at each as Catone times the shot and scores another takedown, landing in half-guard. Forbes scrambles back up and Catone tries to hold him down. Catone gets through with a right. Harris pumping the right, Salter closes in as Harris tries to drop for a takedown. Salter, an NAIA wrestling champion, controlling the front headlock position. Harris stands up and breaks off. Both fighters very slow to engage and putting out one punch at a time. Salter shoots and Harris stays upright, breaking free as Salter whiffs with a punch. Salter bleeding from the nose. Harris trips up trying to pump a right jab as Salter moves forward. Crowd boos slow action after the horn. Sherdog.com sees it as an even 10-10 round.

Harris shoots a double, gets it, caught in half guard. People screaming as Harris to throw elbows. He throws a few, and begins raining punches. The crowd loves it. The referee stops it at the 3:24 mark, giving Harris the win.

Lentz with a leg and head kick to start. Lentz rushes in and gets Tavares down for a second. Tavares back up and defending kicks. Lentz with a more solid takedown but Tavares scrambles up. Tavares closing on and sprawls out of a takedown. Lentz more active on the feet, jabs and leg kicks. Tavares tries a guillotine off a Lentz takedown attempt and is cranking it on the floor. Lentz survives and crowd roars. Lentz now on top, Tavares scrambles up. Both fighters trade strikes and Tavares shoots for a single. Referee separate them as Tavares gets nowhere from the position. Lentz tries another takedown but is shrugged off as the round closes. 10-9 Lentz.

Blackburn is not endangered. Sadollah gives up the hold and begins to elbow the head from half guard. Sadollah can’t seem to pass, so he knees the body and goes back to work with elbows. Simpson looks for a desperation takedown and Lawlor has none of it. Lawlor continues to absolutely level Simpson with power shots. Simpson’s legs are wobbly, but he hangs in there. The pace slows and Simpson recovers. He pounds on the lead leg of Lawlor with low kicks. Lawlor is gassed following the torrent of blows thrown through the opening minutes of the contest.

Diaz lands a left hand and Maynard is cut above his right eye. Diaz is pawing a slow jab and Maynard is loading up to swing for the fences. Diaz lands a right hand and a low kick. Diaz is frustrating Maynard with a steady boxing game through the midway point of round one. Diaz jabs with his right hand and misses a follow-up hook. Maynard is on a record-breaking pace for missed haymakers. Diaz lands a left to the body and taunts his opponent. Diaz holds the left glove of Maynard and connects with a straight right. Wheeler is allowed to continue but his inability to get the fight to the canvas is costing him dearly. Campuzano stalks him from the center of the cage as Wheeler tries to circle away but every time they engage Campuzano is the one finding the mark. Campuzano slams another combination into the blood-streaked face of Wheeler. Wheeler answers with a single-leg takedown attempt but Campuzano shrugs it off easily. Campuzano sprawls on another takedown attempt and elbows him mercilessly as Wheeler tries to finish the takedown. Surprisingly he gets Campuzano to his back with under a minute left but he cannot keep him there. Campuzano lands a hard flying knee that backs Wheeler into the cage. He follows with another knee as Wheeler shoots for a takedown. Wheeler jumps to his feet and narrowly avoids another flying knee. He doesn’t get away from the next one though or the head-kick that followed it. Campuzano raps him with another nasty kick to the head as the horn sounded and saved Wheeler from any more damage. Wineland lands with another nice right hand but Roop takes this one a little better. Yet another lead right hand catches Roop. Wineland is exploiting a low lead hand over and over. Roop throws a head kick but Wineland blocks it and throws another right but Roop is ready this time and blocks it. Wineland’s head movement is giving Roop fits, he can’t seem to find him cleanly. Roop is moving forward more this round but still can’t find his target. Wineland is still moving well, keeping Roop off balance. Wineland powers another lead right hand to the face of Roop. The much longer Roop still can’t get inside on Wineland who is content to stay on the outside and pick away at his opponent. Wineland takes another round on the Sherdog card, 10-9.
Round 3
Wineland floors Roop with another right hand about a minute into the final round. He tries to finish but Roop gets back to his feet and retreats from trouble. Wineland cracks him with a left hand lead as blood flows from the nose Roop. The pace slows a bit and the crowd shows its dissatisfaction. A slow third round closes with neither fighter willing to take a chance. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Wineland.

Mark Hominick vs. Bryan Caraway

Caraway sinks Hominick with a double and settles into his guard. Hominick gets his feet to Caraway’s hips and tries to push him off but is unsuccessful. Caraway stands and tries to pass to side but Hominick gets him back into his guard. Caraway stands again and dodges a pair of upkicks before Caraway drops back into the guard. Hominick tries to sweep to mount but Caraway holds on to the position. Hominick locks up a triangle as Caraway tries to get his base back and manipulates Caraway’s left arm into an armbar and quickly elicited the tapout at 3:48 of the first round.
Wagnney Fabiano vs. Clint Godfrey
Round 1
Godfrey throws a low-kick and circles away. Fabiano patiently waits for an opening. Godfrey lands another kick to the inside of Fabiano’s lead leg before shooting in for a takedown. Fabiano sprawls and takes a front headlock before pushing Godfrey to his back. He tries to mount bout gets caught in half-guard. Fabiano continues to try to pass but keeps getting caught between full and half-guard. Godfrey using an effective butterfly guard to keep Fabiano frustrated. Fabiano works a Kimura with less than 30 seconds left but Godfrey uses his leg to block him from extending it. Fabiano uses the distraction of the submission to take mount and land a slew of shots before the horn ends the round. Sherdog.com scores the slow-paced round 10-9 for Fabiano.
Round 2
J. Sherwood/Sherdog.comFabiano looks to trade early in the second but runs right into a Godfrey kick. Fabiano locks him up and hip tosses him to the mat. From side control, Fabiano pins Godfrey into a crucifix position, trapping his right arm with his legs and his left with his right hand, before punching unabatedly to his face. Godfrey bucks his way out and takes top position shortly, but Fabiano sweeps back into the mount. Fabiano shoots short punches to the head of Godfrey as he battles to keep his head off the cage. Godfrey puts Fabiano back in guard and stalls him out until referee Herb Dean decides to restart them on their feet. Fabiano gets the bout back to the ground but with just seconds left, time runs out before he can’t advance position. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Fabiano.
Round 3
Fabiano gives up the take down to kick off the final round. Godfrey fights to keep him on his back but the Brazilian rolls to his knees and fights off a guillotine to take top position. Fabiano works for the mount but gets caught in half-guard. He gives up on the mount and takes side-control before going back to mount. Godfrey puts him back in half-guard but eats a few punches for his effort. Dean, sensing the pace is not picking up, restarts the fighters on their feet. Godfrey shoots once again but is reversed again as well. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Fabiano.
Fabiano takes the unanimous decision with scores of 30-27 across the board.
Charlie Valencia vs. Akitoshi Tamura
Round 1
Tamura intent on throwing kicks early on and though they aren’t landing they have kept Valencia at bay. Valencia lands a nice left knee as the fighters break from a brief clinch. Valencia shoots a right hand up the middle as Tamura tries to close the distance. Tamura attempts an inside leg kick but misses and clips Valencia right on the cup. He goes down in a heap and referee Josh Rosenthal steps in to allow him to recover. Valencia is ready to restart and he seems upset. He absorbs a low kick from Tamura and launches a kick of his own at his opponent’s head. The fighters engage in a brief exchange before Tamura goes to his back and sucks Valencia into his guard. Tamura locks up Valencia with a high guard and works on a choke attempt. Valencia perseveres and eventually snakes his way out of danger by slamming his way out of the hold. Valencia pounds away with strikes until the round closes. Sherdog.com scores the close round 10-9 for Valencia.

Valencia lands a solid kick to Tamura’s lead thigh. Tamura clinches up along the cage and takes his back while standing. Tamura locks in a body-triangle and punches as he searches for a choke. Tamura holds on for nearly four minutes as Valencia stays on his feet and defends the choke. With 30 seconds left, Valencia falls to his knees and then gets flattened but he holds on to the end of the round. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Tamura.
Round 3
After a slow 90 seconds, Valencia blasts Tamura with a combination that drops Tamura. Valencia takes a front headlock and rolls him to his back where he continues the assault. A game Tamura works back to his feet and is greeted with a hard right hand. Tamura is breathing hard out of his mouth but he keeps coming forward. Valencia pops Tamura’s head back with a jab. Tamura answers with a grazing kick to the left side of Valencia’s head. Valencia punches his way in and flurries on Tamura with just 15 seconds left. The two trade wild shots right up to the end of the bout. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Valencia.

Mackens Semerzier vs. Deividas Taurosevicius
Round 1
Jason Herzog is the referee for the main card opener. Fighters touch gloves. Semerzier misses a kick, and Taurosevicius punches his way in to clinch his foe against the cage. Both have over-unders. Semerzier turns Taurosevicius against the cage, and Taurosevicius turns him back and grabs a single-leg. As Semerzier goes for a guillotine, Taurosevicius lifts him and slams him. Taurosevicius stands over Semerzier and kicks to his legs. Semerzier kicks from his back. Taurosevicius times his opponent’s upkicks and steps in, passing guard. 2:40 to go. Semerzier gets full guard, and Taurosevicius stands with him still holding guard, which allows Semerzier to drop to his feet. They separate. Straight left from Taurosevicius. Semerzier double pumps the jab but doesn’t land. He kicks to Taurosevicius’ thigh. Taurosevicius misses a sidekick out of his southpaw stance. Semerzier kicks again to the inside of his thigh. Taurosevicius goes low with a kick, and Semerzier kicks hard to the head, but it’s blocked. Semerzier tries an outside trip, and instead Taurosevicius powers him to the mat. Semerzier stands, and Taurosevicius nearly lands a rolling single-leg takedown. He lifts Semerzier again for a slam, but Semerzier goes for a triangle. Textbook defense from Taurosevicius, who postures up and maintains top position. 2:30 to go. Short strikes from Taurosevicius in Semerzier’s guard. The fighters trade kicks to begin the third. Semerzier measures with his left and launches an overhand right that misses. Taurosevicius catches his leg and pushes him against the cage. He grabs a front headlock, but Semerzier frees himself and grabs his own. They break. 3:35 to go. Taurosevicius jabs and follows with a kick to the body, then shoots. Semerzier tries for a D’Arce choke but isn’t close. Semerzier does roll Taurosevicius with a kimura, but Taurosevicius attacks his leg. Semerzier easily defends and stands over Taurosevicius. 2:20 to go. Semerzier controls Taurosevicius’s left ankle while standing over him. He punches to his body and then lands to the head. Semerzier continues to pick his shots while standing over his opponent. Taurosevicius is content to stay on his back, and Semerzier is scoring points. With a minute to go, Semerzier engages on the ground and passes to side control. Taurosevicius tries to roll out, and Semerzier wraps up a tight guillotine. Taurosevicius strains and pops his head out with 20 seconds to go, and the round closes in Semerzier’s guard.

Morrison gets his arm free, but Brown maintains control, nearly gets mount and then takes Morrison’s back for a rear-naked choke. Morrison taps. Official time is 1:54.

Herb Dean is the referee. Jansen circles a mostly stationary Shalorus to begin. Shalorus steps in with a body kick. Jansen jabs and follows with several rights, one of which lands but doesn’t hurt Shalorus. Shalorus wings a wild right and then an uppercut in the clinch. He connects with a straight right, but Jansen fires back and shoots. Shalorus stops the shot and the fighters break. 3:00 to go. Shalorus kicks to Jansen’s thigh. Shalorus looks stiff on his feet but throws hard. Jansen misses another single after Shalorus uses a front headlock to easily defend. Jansen comes in punching, and Shalorus takes him down. Jansen gets up quickly, however, and connects with another right. Shalorus stands in the pocket and throws back, cutting Jansen over his left eye. Jansen walks into a right hand and a left hook, and he’s stunned but on his feet to close the round.

The form is bad, but Jansen is developing a habit of walking into the punches. Jansen kicks to the thigh and ducks out of a punch combination. Jansen misses a one-two, and Shalorus is under him for a double-leg. The fight goes to Jansen’s open guard at 2:30. Jansen does a good job of rolling to his feet very quickly. Both fighters swing wildly. Jansen steps in with a good knee to the head. Shalorus is fine, though. Another wild exchange, and Jansen seems to have hurt Shalorus briefly with a wide right hand. He pursues Shalorus, who recovers quickly and sticks a straight right in Jansen’s face, which is getting fairly bloody. Jansen misses another takedown to finish the round.

After missing an overhand right, Shalorus connects with a left hook to the body. Jansen shoots well, but Shalorus has excellent takedown defense. Jansen shoots again but doesn’t touch Shalorus’ legs. Jansen tries to uppercut a ducking Shalorus but misses. 3:20 to go. The fighters are canceling out each other’s jabs. Shalorus is now throwing a looping hook. It leaves him open to a short right from Jansen. Jansen misses another takedown. 2:00 to go. Shalorus gets Jansen’s leg for an easy single-leg takedown, but he shows no control on the ground and Jansen stands. Jansen’s forehead is open again. He throws a hard lead knee to Shalorus’ head. It lands but doesn’t seem to do much damage before Shalorus gets another takedown. He has no trouble putting Jansen down when he wants to. Jansen works to his feet but is caught in a front headlock. The round ends against the fence.

He is much quicker than Assuncao with his hands. Assuncao gets a bodylock and has Faber off balance briefly but can’t put him down. Again to the fence. Faber breaks and they have a brief firefight before breaking again. Short uppercut from Faber. Faber jumps in with a knee but doesn’t land. Faber counters with an overhand right that partially connects.

Varner moves to a front headlock and knees to the body. Varner then switches to a deep guillotine and cranks it. Henderson defends the choke but gets kneed in the face. Varner still has his opponent’s head locked up and is working his body with knees and punches while making Henderson carry his weight. Referee Herb Dean breaks them. 1:40 to go. Henderson kicks to Varner’s body, and Varner walks away oddly, as if he is expecting the fight to be paused. Henderson attacks, and Varner grapples him into the cage. They tie up for the remainder of the round.
