With a spot in Bellator’s second-ever middleweight tournament finals on the line, three-time WEC veteran Bryan Baker wasted little time proving he deserved to compete for a shot at champion Hector Lombard.
Baker needed less than half of a round to submit a submission ace, as opponent Eric Schambari was forced to tap out just 2:29 into the first round in the pair’s featured contest.
Baker’s win served as the main event for Thursday night’s Bellator 20 event, which took place at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas. The main card aired on FOX Sports Net.
