Anthony Pettis vs. Alex Karalexis in the works for star-studded WEC 48 event

World Extreme Cagefighting today announced a few bouts for next month’s WEC 48 event, but MMAjunkie.com has learned of one that hasn’t yet been released: Anthony Pettis (8-1 MMA, 2-1 WEC) vs. Alex Karalexis (10-4 MMA, 4-2 WEC).
Sources close to the lightweight fighters tell MMAjunkie.com that verbal agreements are in place and that bout agreements for the preliminary-card matchup should be signed shortly.
WEC 48 marks the WEC’s pay-per-view debut and takes place April 24 at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, Calif.
