Aaron Simpson vs. Ed Herman middleweight bout slotted for UFC Fight Night 19

Although he originally hinted at potential fight with Dan Miller, Aaron Simpson (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will instead meet veteran middleweight Ed Herman (15-7 MMA, 4-4 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 19.

As MMAjunkie.com mentioned earlier this month, Simpson posted news of the potential bout with Miller on his Facebook page. However, perhaps jumping the gun, he later issued a disclaimer: “Sorry. That was not official. Still waiting.”

Simpson has since posted a bulletin to announce the fight with Herman. It serves as a lead-in for the debut episode of “The Ultimate Fighter 10″ on Spike TV.
