This one’s a big one as two of the show’s biggest names – former EliteXC headliner Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson and IFL heavyweight champion Roy Nelson – square off in a highly anticipated opening-round matchup.

Edgar Garcia vs. DaMarques Johnson in the works for UFC 107 in December
Welterweights Edgar Garcia (7-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and DaMarques Johnson (9-7 MMA, 0-1 UFC) have agreed to meet at UFC 107.
FiveOuncesOfPain.com was the first to report the matchup, and
MMAjunkie.com has since confirmed from sources
close to the contest that both fighters have agreed to the matchup and
bout agreements are expected to be signed shortly.
Though not yet officially announced by the organization, UFC 107 is
expected to take place Dec. 12 in Memphis, Tenn., and feature a main
event between lightweight champ B.J. Penn and challenger Diego Sanchez.

Martinez is an actor and entrepreneur who will throw his hat in the
boxing ring Nov. 21 when he fights controversial rapper DMX on the
Thunder Promotions "Alabama Pride" MMA card headlined by Butterbean vs.

Vitor Belfort says he’s verbally agreed to bout with Anderson Silva
The potential UFC middleweight title fight between current champion
Anderson Silva and fan-favorite Vitor Belfort appears one step closer
to reality.
Fighters Only magazine has translated an interview from
Portuguese-language website Terra.com.br with Belfort, and “The Phenom”
says he’s verbally agreed to the bout.
The Los Angeles Times first reported the potential UFC 108 headlining bout and cited UFC president Dana White as confirming the news.
Strikeforce’s Daniel Cormier discusses MMA debut win, drop to light heavyweight unlikely
Daniel Cormier’s professional debut at this past weekend’s “Strikeforce Challengers” event was successful – even it wasn’t pretty.
But no one is going to be more critical of the fighter than Cormier himself, who on Monday joined MMAjunkie.com Radio to discuss his Showtime-televised win over fellow MMA newcomer Gary Frazier.
“I’ve got to learn this sport,” the former U.S. Olympian joked. “I really have no idea what I’m doing.”
